Java/SQL Tool

Note: this tool was submitted to NetBeans as a new feature request to allow similar automation in a future version of the NetBeans IDE. And to quote a representative from the Sun Microsystems NetBeans Team, "What we have developed has a lot of use" !

The NetBeans 6.0 Preview has now been released and includes the automation that was in this tool and much more! - Actually, NetBeans 6.0 has had a major restructuring and completely simplifies and automates data binding, by giving the ability to connect SQL database tables to Java Rich Client GUI's, with an easy to use point and click interface.

So NetBeans 6.0 makes this tool obsolete, which is great news. Thanks again to NetBeans!

The Java/SQL Tool is designed to allow for rapid development of SQL database applications that use Java Rich Client GUI's, that are developed with NetBeans IDE (Integrated Development Environment). The NetBeans IDE is a free!, opensource software made available through Sun Microsystems and Sun is also responsible for the Java language.

From the field data entered into this tool, it will automatically write code for SQL tables and Java data components. Next, you just have to start creating your user interfaces with the easy to use NetBeans point and click IDE. Free Flash training movies are available on this website, that will show you how to use the tool.

This tool was designed for anyone that would like to speed up their development time, to create SQL database applications that have Java Rich Client GUI's. This tool also provides additional automation for replatforming FileMaker solutions.
